Martin Griffiths States That Re-stationing of Hodeidah Troop Might Be Slow, yet It Would Take Place
On Thursday, the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths stated that the relocation of rival groups in the key port city of Hodeidah might be “slow” but will occur. This comment were made by Griffiths as Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman debate on the Yemen truce deal with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington. The US State Department mentioned that even Prince Khalid and Pompeo admitted on the need for factions to stick to the agreement reached in Sweden. Griffiths even stated that the two sides are meeting daily so that the details of the first relocation can be worked out.
