Sweden’s Envoy to Yemen, Libya Holds Meeting with Dr Anwar Gargash

The meeting was convened at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, Gargash offered his gratitude to the meaningful efforts that was taken by the kingdom of Sweden in order to shape a political solution to the situation that has been taking place in Yemen.
Gargash highlighted the requirement of assuring the pull out of Houthi militias’ from the Ports of Hodeidah, Ras Isa, and Salif, as well as from the Hodeida City and the significance of expediting international attempts by the United Nations as well as by the international community on the Houthi rebels to halt their daily violation of the accord.
The minister stated that the political process in Yemen is an inclusive one; and no further measures can be taken without assuring the complete and clear-cut enforcement of the terms that was reached in the Sweden Agreement altogether.
He underlined the UAE’s eagerness to certify that all Yemeni ports would be made fully functional for humanitarian as well as trade operations and all transport going on unrestricted without the intrusion of the Houthis’.
