The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen signed in Riyadh yesterday a joint cooperation agreement between Saudi Arabia represented by the program and the Yemeni government represented
by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in the field of development and reconstruction work in the Republic of Yemen.
During the signing of the agreement, the Saudi side was represented by the general supervisor of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber. Yemeni Minister
of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Najeeb Al- Awaj represented the Yemeni side. The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in Riyadh.
The agreement comes within the framework of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, in order to enhance the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries, to provide reconstruction and implementation of
development and reconstruction projects in the Republic of Yemen.
The program was issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz in May 2018 to contribute with the international donors and the World Bank in the development and reconstruction of Yemen. The
projects cover the sectors of “health, education, electricity, and energy, agriculture and fisheries, water and dams, roads and ports. Airports and residential and government buildings. It will have executive offices within Yemen to supervise, monitor and ensure quality.
