Al-Iryani: Houthi practices can ignite a popular revolution
Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Iryani accused Iranian-backed Houthi militias of practicing “the most heinous forms of exploitation and trading in religion to kill Yemenis’ and achieve malicious political goals.”
He stressed that these practices “will ignite the spark of the popular revolution in the hijacked capital Sanaa and areas of control,”.
Al-Iryani added that “the Houthi militias since their coup against power and national consensus have used the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet of mercy, love and peace, Sayyidina Muhammad peace be upon him to devote the state of division and mobilization of fighters and instill a culture of death, hatred and terrorism among their elements,” according to a statement published by the official Yemeni News Agency .
He criticized the Houthi militias spendingsof tens of billions to commemorate religious occasions, while refusing to pay the salaries of employees in areas under its control for years under the pretext of scarcity of resources.
He pointed out that the lights and banners hung by the militias in the streets of Sana’a cost billions of looted riyals, which he said “will not feed hungry and will not cover naked and will not cover the crimes of militias and beautify its ugly face in front of the world.”
