ERC Arranges First Mass Wedding in Al Khokha Yemen
On 8th October, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) arranged the seventh mass wedding for 200 couples in Yemen and the first in Al Khokha District of Yemen’s Hodeidah Governorate. It is a part of the decree of His Highness Sheikh Mohamad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to organize a series of group weddings to help 2,400 brides and grooms in eight Yemeni governorates.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC, stated that HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s drive is part of the UAE’s attempts to execute Yemen’s overall needs. It also points out that the resolution of the UAE leadership to follow the heritage of Sheikh Zayed.
ERC Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, stated that the ERC is working according to a carefully considered plan to enforce the decrees of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed.
