ERC Arranges Third Group Wedding in Hadramaut, Yemen
The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) arranged its tenth group wedding in Yemen and the third of this kind in Tarim, Hadramaut Governorate.
The group wedding forms a part of the decree given by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to uphold youth stability that would be helping thousands of youth in Yemen’s liberated governorates.
The wedding, which clashed with the UAE’s 47th National Day celebrations and assisted 200 local youth, was not only attended by Issam bin Habrish Al Katheery, Under-Secretary of Hadramaut for Wadi and Desert District Affairs, but also by Major General Saleh Tims, Commander of the First Military Zone; Sheikh Obaid bin Kordous Al Tamimi; Abdullah Saleh Al Kathiri, Head of Hadramaut References; Hassan Haidar; Shawki Karama Al Tamimi, Supervisor of Hadramaut Projects, as well as many other Yemeni officials. The ERC delegates who supervised the group wedding were also present.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s drive is part of the UAE’s endeavors to back Yemen in all sectors and it coincided with the hundredth anniversary of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the ERC, emphasized that the ERC is executing with care the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed to arrange group weddings in Yemen, which has been backed by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC.
Al Falahi stated that the tenth group wedding in Yemen luckily concurs with the 47th National Day celebrations of the UAE.
