ERC Leads Development and Rebuilds Projects in Yemen

The Emirates Red Crescent or ERC is introducing a series of rebuilding projects in the Red Sea Coast of Yemen that is worth AED 107.1 million that is going to benefit 7,187,620 people in many governorates.

The projects are being implemented upon the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent.

Under the framework of the ethical commitment and humanitarian, the ERC have always supported development and rebuild of projects in every part of Yemen and it has launched a project for supporting fisherman from Red Sea Coast for providing them with the needed equipment and tools for the purpose of fishing. It is also known to have established a fish market, storage area, and administrative offices for supporting the fishing industry.

The ERC have distributed 5 tons of food supplies for the children to the hospitals and healthcare centers in Taiz Governorate which was re-launched in Martyr Fahem Al Habsy School in the Abyan Governorate after it had been restored, distributed materials for school bags and to teachers, and have also sponsored the graduation ceremony of 13th batch of graduates of Information Technology Department of Aden University and Engineering College.

ERC have also inaugurated Al Muzafar Hospital in Taiz after the restoration and have supplied in medicines and advanced medical equipment. It is known to have funded the treatment of the Yemeni citizens in Cairo’s hospital.  Over the last 5 days, ERC have distributed 8,000 food parcels to the Yemeni families that are in need in eight Yemeni governorates. It dispatched relief convoy that contains 1,500 food parcels and 5 tons of food supplement to the residents of Al Azariq District under Dhala Governorate.
