Flash floods in Yemen’s Maarib
Two children dead by flash floods on Monday in Yemen’s eastern Maarib province, according to witnesses, reports.
The flash floods were supposedly due to unusually heavy rainfall in lots of Maarib’s southeastern districts.
The flooding has halted traffic on the primary highway linking Maarib to the close by Al-Bayda province, witnesses stated.
One vehicle transporting three children and their parents were apparently washed away by the flooding, leaving two of the children dead and the third unaccounted for.
