Fleeing Families Targeted by Houthis with Mortar Shells in Yemen’s Hodeidah
According to local news reports from Saudi Arabia, Houthi militants fired mortars at a family as they were trying to flee from their home in Durahmi, which lies in the south of Yemen’s Hodeidah province. The government-backed Amaliqa Brigades released a statement stating that all five members from the family were injured, as the Houthis attacked them while the family was trying to escape towards Al-Khokha.
This incident took place a day immediately after it tried to aim at a King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre camp for the dislodged people in Al-Khokha, which killed a woman and injured number of people. Officials of the charity found that the mobile clinics are still able to carry on with their work and the medical staff could treat the injured.
KSRelief provided aid to more than 600 widowed women of Sayun District. The distribution of aid is a part of humanitarian efforts from Saudi Arabia.
