Government of Yemen and the Southern Transitional Council agrees for a deal

An informed Saudi source said that an agreement was reached between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The agreement provides for the formation of a competent government of 24 ministers equally between the southern and northern governorates, as well as the return of the current prime minister to Aden to activate all state institutions.

The Riyadh agreement also includes the re-arrangement of military and security forces in the southern provinces, with the Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen oversee a joint committee to implement it.
