Griffiths dicusses ways to end the conflict in yemen with Mohammed bin Salman

The United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, expressed his gratitude to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his continued support for efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to the conflict in Yemen.

Griffiths met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, in Riyadh on Thursday and discussed ways to work together to end the conflict in Yemen, according to a statement issued on Friday by the UN envoy’s office.

They also discussed the latest developments in thecountry and the importance of reducing violence to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.

He congratulated the Crown Prince for his leadership in mediating efforts to reach the signingof the Riyadh agreement between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council.

The Special Envoy expressed his gratitude to the Crown Prince for his continued support for efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to the conflict in Yemen and discussed ways to work together to end the conflict.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman affirmed Saudi Arabia’s keenness on Yemen’s security and stability, the official SPA news agency reported.
