Houthi violations of the UN truce in Hodeidah within 24 hours
Joint forces on the Yemeni west coast Sunday evening accused the Houthi militia of committing 34 violations and attacks on citizens during the past 24 hours in Hodeidah province, west of the country.
This was seen as a blatant challenge to the efforts of the United Nations Mission, which over the past 24 hours oversaw the deployment of liaison officers and the installation of two ceasefire observation posts in Hodeidah.
The militias targeted civilians in villages, markets, farms and roads in Hodeidah, Durahami, al-Jah, al-Tahita and Hays districts, using mortars, pika bullets, 14.5 and 12.7 guns, and snipers.
The statement quoted a military source, that violations of the Houthi militias were monitored and reported to the United Nations mission.
According to the source, three violations and attacks were committed by Houthi militias in the city of Hodeidah, six violations in the Duraimi district, and five violations and attacks in Al-Jah area, Beit al-Faqih district, in addition to 11 violations and attacks in the areas of Al-Faza and Jabaliya and the Directorate’s Center in Tahita, and 9 violations and attacks Targeted civilians in Hays district.
