Houthis are committing crimes against women in Yemen
According to activists, Houthis are holding a number of women illegally and even torturing them. The women are being held without getting charged or even taken to trail. In many cases, the women are being tortured and their families blackmailed.
Activists are saying that Houthis have been arresting women over so-called allegations of prostitution or even collaboration with the coalition led by Saudi Arabia. The Houthi militants have refuted all of these claims, saying that they are nothing more than rumors.
Houthis are also claiming that they have no secret prisons. However, it has been said by activists that women are being arrested from the streets and cafes in recent months. These women eventually end up in those secret prisons and are often never seen again.
