International Organizations Meet for Discussing the Joint Humanitarian Response in Yemen

Saeed Al Kaabi, the Humanitarian Operations Director of Yemen has met the representatives from various relief organizations that are working in Yemen at the UN office for the OCHA in the interim capital of Aden for discussing the unified efforts in support of the semi-liberated and liberated areas of the country.

During the time of meeting, the parties have addressed the present humanitarian situation and the basic Yemeni needs. It also shows how it is going to mobilize the effort for easing the difficult conditions, particularly for women, children, and the elderly.

As a matter of fact, they are also known to have discussed the mechanism of coordinating the joint efforts for offering food assistance and provision of the medical treatment through hospital rehabilitation and health centers. They also want to launch mobile medical units in order to reach out to the families in Yemen harbored in the remote areas apart from supporting electric plants and local water.

Al Kaabi has stated that the meetings are a significant part of the ongoing UAE coordination efforts with the international relief organization for helping out to identify the requirements of the Yemeni citizens to make sure that their stability and capabilities to cope up with the difficult coordination that they are facing.

The meeting had been attended by represented from World Food Programme, OCHA, United Nations High Commissions for the refugees, United Nations Children’s Fund, World Health Organization, International Committee of the Red Cross, International Organisation for Migration, and various other relief organizations.
