Saudi Arabia launches development projects in Yemen
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center ( KSRelief ) is setting up sustainable development initiatives in Yemen included in “You Are Not Alone” project aimed at towardprotecting orphans’ families in Yemen.
One such project is aimed toward improving mothers’ livelihoods along with the resilience of communities via vocational working out and also economic empowerment. It covers the governorates of Sanaa, Taiz, Al-Jouf, Al-Bayda, and Marib.
Another project is aimed toward enhancing livelihoods and also strengthening resilience in the governorates of Hadramout, Shabwa, Aden, Lahj and Al-Jouf, benefiting 3, 750 individuals directly and 18, 750 indirectly.
KSRelief can be offering professional training courses in administration and finance, as well as vocational programs for women.
Certificates are granted and tools obtained for every beneficiary based on their specialization.
The Kingdom’s foreign aid efforts have always been on the rise until they hit a record within the last few years, with the level of Saudi aid, provided impartially to 81 countries, exceeding $86 billion between 1996 and 2018.
King Salman issued his directives on May 13 , 2015 to establish the KSRelief to provide various humanitarian and relief programs. Since its inception , KSRelief has implemented 1 ,011 projects in 44 countries worth $3,439,139,000 .
