Tariq Saleh: Vandalism of UAE ships confirms the destructive role of Iran
The head of the National Resistance Forces of the Yemeni army, Tariq Mohammad Abdullah Saleh accused Iran on Monday of sabotaging four merchant ships off the coast of the UAE.
“We condemn the cowardly terrorist targeting of commercial vessels near the territorial waters of the UAE,” said Tareq Saleh, son of the late Yemeni president’s brother Ali Abdullah Saleh.
“This subversive action reaffirms the destructive role of Iran and the risks of complacency in securing international straits and corridors, including the Bab al-Mandab Straits and the Red Sea, from Iranian threats and terrorist militia.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE declared, on Sunday, that “four civilian commercial cargo ships, from several nationalities, was subjected to sabotage operations near the territorial waters of the state, towards the east coast near the Emirate of Fujairah, and in the
UAE economic zone, Resulting in no loss or damage. “
