UAE launches “Water distribution” campaign in Hadharmout
The United Arab Emirates (UAE), represented by the UAE Red Crescent, launched a “water distribution ” campaign on Wednesday in remote areas of the Yemeni city of Mut.
The initiative, initiated by the Sakia Emirates, aims to distribute water packages to rural and remote people in Hadar Mott, via long-haul tankers and rugged mountain roads to help drought-stricken and water-scarred populations.
“The Sakaya water campaign is part of a series of humanitarian and service projects implemented by UAE,” said Humaid Rashid Al Shamsi, UAE Red Crescent representative in Hadramout. “we keep helping people on the directives and initiatives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. ”
Al-Shamsi said that the campaign aims to provide drinking water and contribute to support the stability of Yemeni families and alleviate their suffering. He pointed out the distribution of 20 thousand water packages in remote and rural areas in Shabwa governorate, bringing the total distributions are 40 thousand packages in the two governorates.
For their part, the beneficiaries of the initiative expressed their gratitude and thanks to the UAE and its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent Authority, for standing by their side in times of hardship.
