UAE Red Crescent distributes 50 tons of relief aid in Shabwa
During the past week, the UAE Red Crescent donated 50 tons of humanitarian aid in Shabwa governorate districts, benefiting more than 8808 poor and needy families, it has the basic needs of essential food items. This comes under the continuous Humanitarian support in Shabwa governorate.
Mohammed Salim Al Junaibi, Director of Humanitarian Affairs of the UAE Red Crescent in Yemen, said that the team in Shabwa governorate distributed 1420 food baskets containing food, distributed to the low-income people in the districts of Mirkha Olaya and the nomadic areas of the Directorate of Ataq, Shabwa and succeeded in reaching remote areas, where the families suffer from the difficult humanitarian situation, where the assistance of the red crescent for alleviating the suffering of families is the most needed.
Al-Junaibi stressed that the aid comes as a message of love from the UAE people, provided by the humanitarian team and the UAE relief to all segments of the Yemeni people and that it is a duty to help during the current circumstances. He pointed out that the relief team coordinates with a number of international and local humanitarian organizations to provide humanitarian and relief programs.
