UAE Red Crescent Organizes the 14th Mass Wedding in Yemen
The UAE Red Crescent organized the 14th collective wedding in Yemen and the fourth in the city of Mukalla in Hadramout governorate, which included 200 young men and women.
The initiative is part of the mass weddings organized by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to support the stability of young Yemenis. The second phase of this initiative will benefit thousands of young people in eleven
Yemeni governorates during 2019.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Dr Saeed Al Amoudi, Deputy Governor of Hadramout, Engineer Mohammed Al Amoudi, Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs, and a number of Yemeni officials.
As witnessed by Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, representative of the UAE Red Crescent Authority in Hadramout, who oversaw the wedding ceremony and its arrangements, with the participation of the grooms and their families,
and a large gathering of the people of the province.
The initiative of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is part of the UAE’s response to the needs of the Yemeni brothers in all fields and in continuation of the efforts of the State to improve the quality of life and improve the
humanitarian situation and alleviate the suffering of Yemenis.
Dr Mohammed Ateeq Al-Falahi, Secretary General of the UAE Red Crescent Society, said that the Authority has worked according to a well-planned plan to implement the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
organizing collective weddings for the second year in a row and expanding the umbrella of beneficiaries in Yemen under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
