Yemen :Houthi leaders involved in kidnapping girls
Yemeni security sources revealed the identity of leaders of the Houthi militias responsible for abducting, torturing and assaulting a large number of girls detained in criminal investigation prisons and other secret detention centers in Sana’a.
The sources said that Abu Saqr, Abu Fatima and Abu Harb are the most prominent Houthi figures in the criminal investigation prison in the capital Sana’a for the abduction and detention of hundreds of Yemeni girls that the houthisverbally , physically tortured and raped .
The sources pointed out that many of the detainees were raped and their dignityviolated, some detainees committed suicide after being tortured and sexually assaulted in the Houthi prisons, unfortunately human rights organizations totally ignore their case.
The statistics of a human rights organization reported that more than 2000 detainees, who are located in the detention camps of Houthi militias in Sanaa, are subjected to torture in brutal ways.
The sources called on international, regional and local organizations to move quickly to pressure the militias to release the detainees, arrest the perpetrators and put them under investigation and trial.
The UN Human Rights Council at its 42nd session in Geneva, Switzerland, had handed over files on women in Houthi prisons, what they were subjected to, and the names of those responsible for the abduction, detention and torture of women and rape cases.
Al-Jarawi stressed that the Human Rights Council was asked to include those involved in women’s crimes in Yemen in the list of terrorism.
