The general supervisor of the Saudi program for the development and reconstruction of Yemen, Ambassador Mohammed Al-Jaber, affirmed that the Yemeni citizen and the Yemeni people are at the heart and interest of the leadership and people of the Kingdom.

Al Jaber said during a meeting with Yemeni Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Najib Al Ouj at the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in Riyadh on Tuesday that the program is primarily concerned with providing basic services and infrastructure in support of the Yemeni people through cooperation with the Yemeni government and local authorities in various governorates.

Al-Jaber explained that the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen works seriously through the executive offices of the program on the territory of Yemen, which aims to speed and quality of implementation, in order to give the Yemeni citizens effective employment opportunities, in coordination and cooperation with the Government of Yemen, represented by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.

Al-Jaber said: “We have a workshop to be held in the coming days between the Kingdom represented by the program, with the participation of the Republic of Yemen represented by the Yemeni Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, and representatives of Yemeni ministries and stakeholders and men of development and economy to develop studies on the strategy of development and reconstruction of Yemen in a comprehensive manner, and also contribute to the development of The main priorities are to push international donors, whether states or organizations, to support development in all Yemeni governorates.

The ambassador answered a question about Marib airport by saying: “We have completed several stages of the Marib airport project. During the first phase, the site was selected in cooperation with the Yemeni government and the local authority in Marib. The project plan was designed by an American company specialized in the implementation of international airports. The second phase has been prepared and the site has been fully fenced and ready for implementation, and in the third phase will be signed with the consultant and this part of the quality of the work of the program.

The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen participated on the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, under the chairmanship of the Program Supervisor, Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber

The participation of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen included the holding of an exhibition at the United Nations Headquarters in New York to introduce the program and its development efforts in Yemen.

The delegation of the participating program gave a presentation to visitors on the development and reconstruction projects in Yemen to many political and diplomatic figures and representatives of international missions in the United Nations General Assembly, and to a number of television channels and media.

The exhibition used virtual reality technology (VR), which presented visual and live materials for the program projects in the Yemeni governorates, which supported seven vital sectors in Yemen: health sector, education sector, electricity and energy sector, agriculture and fisheries sector, water sector, and road sector. Yemeni government cooperate with KSA to restore stability in Aden


Yemeni Ambassador to the European Union, Mohamed Taha Mustafa, discussed on Friday evening with Pedro Serrano, Deputy Secretary General of the European Union for Security and Defense Affairs in the External Labor Organization.

The ambassador reviewed the developments in Yemen and the government’s efforts regarding the peace process and the implementation of the Stockholm agreement as a key step to build confidence and peace, amid the continued intransigence of the Houthi militia and its refusal to abide by what it signed.

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, welcomed the joint Saudi-Emirati statement issued on Sunday on the legitimate response of the Yemeni government and the transitional council to call for dialogue.

UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths expressed on Sunday his gratitude for the efforts of Saudi Arabia and USE in southern Yemen.

This came after a meeting with Martin Griffiths with Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir, describing it as “very positive.”

YEMEN and KSA remove 604 mines in a week

Project director Osama al-Gosaibi stated in the ” the Yemeni army’s website (September 26) that: “The field teams have removed 268 anti-tank mines, 4
antipersonnel mines, 330 unexploded ordnance (UXO) and two explosive devices during the past week.
He added that “the total mines that have been removed from the beginning of the operation is 1839 mines and unexploded ordnance.”

The activities of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen include the provision of water tanks according to the needs of the residents, that will be distributed to a number of directorates in the seven
governorates, the Mukhabah and Taiba districts in Taiz governorate, the
Ataq Directorate in Shabwa governorate, The Directorate of Jaar Zangbor in Abyan Governorate, and the Directorate of Tura Al Baha and Hutah in Lahj Governorate. The program has supported the water sector in Yemen through
several projects through the supply of water tanks.
In addition to the construction of water tanker lines in Al- Gheida city, the development of the city’s water distribution network, the construction of a solar water desalination plant on Al Fasht Island in Hajjah Governorate and the supply of water tanks in the governorate.

The UAE has launched a massive relief campaign to support the people of the provinces of Taiz and Hodeidah, fleeing from the Houthi terrorist militia of Iran to the Khanfar district of Yemen’s Abyan province.
