18000 Yemeni children used by the houthis as soldiers

An official United Nations statistics revealed that the Houthi militia recruited more than 18 thousand children under the legal age in a number of provinces. The Yemeni Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations (Rasd) said yesterday (Wednesday), in a seminar on the sidelines of the meetings of the Human Rights Council in its 42nd session in Geneva: that most of the children are recruited from schools, educational and religious centers, especially in large cities

Human rights activist Dr. Arwa al-Khattabi said in a paper titled “Recruiting Children” that the Houthi militia relied on tribal sheikhs in rural areas to recruit children and put them on the fronts in exchange for money or  benefits or political positions for the sheikhs. He estimated the number of children killed since the outbreak of war sparked by the Houthi of about 6,000children,the recruitment of children is increasing.

Dr.Arwa called on the international community to take a firm stand to pressure the militia to stop recruiting children

Meanwhile, human rights activist and journalist Hamdan Al-Ali said that the militia hunts school students and turns them into soldiers and sends them to the fronts, which leads to changing the identity of the society and its ideology and spread its extremist ideology through schools.

The human rights activist Dr. Mawaheb Al-Hamzi explained in her paper entitled (Houthi methodology and ISIS methodology) that the Houthi Zeinabiyat practiced intimidating activists and jurists and recruiting children in a similar way to terrorist and Daesh groups, taking advantage of living conditions. She confirmed that the militias turned mosques into military barracks and weapons depots

Yemen : the Houthis ruined thousands of lives and killed 4 million children and soldiers

The Yemeni government has declared that the Houthi militias have destroyed the lives of more than 4 million children. Most of them have been forced to look for work due to the war, which has exploited the economic and humanitarian situation of the Yemeni families and forced them to support their families and join the militias.

the resolution of the conflict in Yemen will only be achieved by resolving the roots of this conflict, and ending the houthis putsch , restoring the kidnapped state institutions, achieving sustainable peace, ending the sufferings of the Yemeni people and achieving peace based on the three agreed terms of reference.

The Representative of Yemen to the United Nations in New York Ambassador Abdullah Al-Saadi, said at the open debate of the UN Security Council,Friday, on children and armed conflict, that armed militias Houthi recruited more than 30 thousand Yemeni children and uses them in the conflict, stressing the killing of 3 thousand and 279 children , in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

The recruitment operations included students, school students, kids from orphanages, juvenile shelters and local communities. The Houthimilitias deprives them of education. In the past two years, 1.6 million children have been denied access to schools. They have shelled and destroyed two thousand and 372 schools in part and in full. More than a thousand and 600 schools are now prisons and military barracks.

The most heinous types of murder … recruitment and deprivation

Al-Saadi pointed out that Yemeni children are subjected to the worst kinds of killing, suffering, recruitment and denial of their basic educational, health and social rights because of the Huthi militias.

He also pointed out that the children who are detained as fighters in the ranks of the Huthi militias are brought back , taking care of and  rehabilitatedat the Marib Rehabilitation Center, supported by the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief.

The children are handed over to their families.

He warned that the Houthi armed militias would establish summer camps to attract, train and apprentice children to continue their exploitation of Yemeni children , in flagrant violation of all international norms, laws and child rights laws.

Houthis take advantage of summer holidays to encourage children to fight and kill through sectarian centers

Yemeni educational sources said that the leaders of the Houthi militias imposed on principals of schools and education offices in Sana’a and the nearby areas under their control the opening of summer centers to attract
children and teach them methods of fighting to attract children to join the fighting fronts.
The Houthi militia has established what it called “summer centers”, claiming that its goal is to “exploit students’ leisure time and their summer vacation in learning the Koran.” However, it is most likely that the aim of these centers is to brainwash the children and prepare them to the fronts.
Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Iryani warned of the use of the Huthi militia for the summer camps in their areas and turning them into closed camps to attract children and mobilize them with extremist ideas and train
them to fight.
“The information confirms that some of what the militia calls” summer centers are closed terrorist camps and co-managed by Iranian experts to train children on light and medium weapons and push them on the fronts of fighting and the dissemination of extremist ideas on Yemen, “he said.
Al-Eryani pointed out that the Houthi militia resorted to the recruitment of children in the so-called “summer centers” to compensate for human losses on the fronts of fighting, especially with the reluctance of tribesmen to join the ranks after being exposed to the fact that it is an arm managed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. He called on parents in areas controlled by the Huthi militia not to leave their children between the hands of militias to be used as fuel to their battles.
He also called on the international community, the United Nations, human rights and child protection organizations to take action to “stop these crimes and not leave the children of Yemen at the mercy of the Huthi militia and allow them to tamper with children.”
The Houthis centers are a summer holiday for school children between the ages of 6 and 16, an important season for recruitment, especially with the crisis of fighters faced by the Huthi militia after losing their human
stockpiles in battles on different fronts.
The establishment of these centers is followed by the attention of the Huthi leaders, including the militia leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi, who called on parents to push their children to join these centers.

Houthi kidnaps four children and sends them to fight

Yemeni sources confirmed, the continuation of the militias Houthis in their campaigns to recruit and abduct children without the knowledge of their families, and send them to the fronts to fight.
The sources revealed the abduction of the Houthis, recently of four children from Haret al-Faqih, in the province of Amran in northern Yemen, and take them to the fighting fronts without the knowledge of their families.
The children were Bashar Hafiz Mansour Ja’il. The Houthi-backed by Iran militias has repeatedly violated children’s rights by kidnapping them for forced recruitment and putting them on the front lines.
The Yemeni Ministry of Education condemned earlier the continuation of Houthi militias in the recruitment children in all the provinces under their control and called on the international community and organizations working
on human rights and the protection of children to condemn these violations and pressure on the militias to stop the process of recruitment of children and Combat operations and to hold militias responsible for what children are exposed to on the battlefield.
